Activities to Make it Fun

Join us for the second annual Kanab Hammerfest, a metal craft festival featuring 15 live demonstrations and 17 hands-on classes. It will be an action packed day designed for metal craft enthusiasts of all genres and skill levels. There will be blacksmithing, knife making, armor making, coppersmithing, welding and fabrication, jewelry making, bit and spur making, reclaimed metal plasma art, tool making, historical re-enactors and renaissance buffs!

There will be fun for the whole family with these activities; forge your own miniture sword; test your quick draw skills; pose with an anvil and hammer for an old time, tin-type photo; compete in the anvil toss contest; test to see if you have the hand strength to be a blacksmith in the "Hang 100 seconds, Win $100" contest; and bury the hatchet at the ax throwing range.

Additionally, there will be tool and equipment sales, a knife show, craft vendors, delicious noms from the food trucks, a silent auction, and the opportunity to meet past contestants from the hit reality TV show, Forged in Fire.

Event Tickets are $30 per person. Children 14 and under are free but must have an Event Ticket and be accompanied by an adult at all times. Event registration grants you access to any and all of the day's demonstrations plus the ability to audit the classes. If you would like to participate in the classes, additional fees apply. It is strongly recommended that you pre-register for classes, as space is limited. Class fees do not include your Event Ticket and class fees vary based on the class.
